Arizona has so few players signed after this season, they get at least one NHL caliber RFA that they can lock up for a few years on a cheap contract. Lehks can give them some stability and is an excellent defensive forward with some scoring capacity. Brings excellent work ethic to a young team in the desert

Oilers get major upgrades over two dead-weight contrats, as well as a bit of cap space, and a late pick. Allen is signed at a reasonable cost for one more season. Chiarot has not had a great start to the year but he is still a massive upgrade over Russell at this point in their careers. This is a year for Edmonton to really push for a deep playoff run, they can accumulate prospects another year but now is the time to build around McDavid.
