OTT
  1. Holl, Justin
Additional Details:
I'm not very big on Justin Holl, but he would certainly be an upgrade over Zaitsev and Josh Brown. He's currently getting pushed out of an NHL job by Timothy Liljegren who has been much better, so he wouldn't likely cost much to acquire.
TOR
  1. Brown, Joshua ($600,000 retained)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Josh Brown at 600k can be a warm body or he can be an AHLer. Important thing is Ottawa sending a Dman out to bring one in.

I don't see Brown as any kind of upgrade over Holl, so doesn't seem like it makes sense for Sens here.

Holl is a significant upgrade to either RD not named Zub. I don't think he's nearly as good as a lot of the Leafs hype surrounding him before this year, but he's also not as bad as his rough start. Josh Brown needs to not be on this team anymore, and Zaitsev needs to follow in the offseason. The Sens are playing great hockey, and they're getting sewered by those two players.

Agreed there is a TOJN of hype around him, from the games i have seen this season I have not been overly impressed. The cap hit is nice so that way in a short time you could clean up the left side and run Zub - JDB - Holl next year. The question then becomes is he capable enough to carry a pairing with Sanderson as a rookie making mistakes, that I am not so sure about, and what player is going to pair with JDB? Branstrom, Holden?

Chabot - Zub
Holden - JDB
Sanderson - Holl

Would sens fans be happy with that for next season?

Holl has been solid for at least two years for the Leafs . He's off to poor start this season. But teams need seven or eight NHL Dman throughout the season. Holl just can't be traded unless a competent NHLer is returned to the Leafs.
