Description
Vancouver seems like they might be ready to make some big changes, so if they want to move on from Boeser, then a landing spot could be Ottawa, they are in need of Right Shot top 6 forwards, so this is just a thought about how it could work out especially since Sens would be trading for a pending UFA, the thought would be that they would resign him as well.

With this lineup, it is based on the Sens seemingly changing their mind and allowing Stuztle to start playing C. now I for one believe that this isn't going to stick and that Pinto will grow to be a true 2C as he has a great faceoff % so then it also gives the flexibility to make the second and third lines as such

Stuztle - Pinto - Batherson
Formenton - Paul - C Brown

This also Gives some flexibility if players like Paul and Brown are also moved to bring in players like Greig and Sokolov.

In general cleaning house, a little for the sens, and this moves creates a lot more flexibility in their lineup by adding more Right shot players with the new addition of Gaudette as well.

Since I am going off what the sens lineup could be around deadline time I have included Sanderson and others that could see time towards the end of the season.

The scratheced players would be players that Sens also find a way to move for whatever.

  1. Brännström, Erik
  2. White, Colin
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
The main part here would be Branstrom, but White would be valuable to Van as a reliable 3 C for the long term, but add in other players such as

Watson
Sanford

Also because of Whites Cap Sens could retain 1.5 of the contract and remove 3rd round pic from the deal.

think wed be more looking at white jbd and a first, brannstrom doesnt hold as much value as people think and doesnt really fit for vancouver, and the third rounder is pretty uninteresting for them imo when they're sending out boeser

yeah pinto would be a no-go i would think, too few centres in the system to move out a really good one. Would also be looking to add to the NHL roster so taking one of our better NHL centres away from the team doesnt really do that imo

I see Boesner as having a down year really which would bring his value down, plus he has a pending RFA contract needed this summer, so his value I don't see being anywhere near JDB and a 1st.
If things keep sliding the way they have in Vancouver then again the deals will not be as great.

Branstrom is still a great player that is versatile and could use a change of scenery.

I'm not going to say this is a good offer, or a bad offer, but you've fallen into the same trap that fans from other teams fall in. Create your lineup, identify the players that don't fit your lineup idea, offer those players for one that does. Why would VAN want White or Brannstrom, and be specific, not some generic, they are good players that all teams would love to have. If you try to find arguments to fit your idea, you're not being honest. Ask yourself, what does VAN need, and start there. Maybe it's Zub, or Thomson, or maybe it's Batherson. Then realize, do you want Boeser more than those guys? Creating trades is easy, if you just add the players you don't want. Creating trades that make sense isn't easy to do.

As for the trade, Ottawa isn't retaining on White, they would buy him out before they did that.
