Why would the Blues want a cancer in Kane? I would only do that Anaheim trade if it came with an extension.

Yeah, as a Ducks fan, I'd be pretty OK with that haul for Hampus, but I agree, it would have to come with an extension, which I'd probably prefer we just do ourselves.

Do you think we would have the room to extend him, and for what price? I really would want to go after him, as he would help solidify our D-core IMO, but I would just be worried about cap issues.

My guess is the Blues could extend him, but it would require some manipulation. Namely, trading Tarasenko. I agree with the premise of trading Schenn as well. His contract is horrible.

The Blues could extend Lindholm pretty easily if they trade Tarasenko in the off-season
