Description

I’ve never hidden my desire to move on from the previous era. So, as much as I hate Larry brooks, you can imagine my excitement at his saying the rangers are looking to trade for Kane. Plus, I’ve been dying to see if cat, star child, and the rest of the youth can thrive without Kane.

Furthermore, the oilers look super keen on fleury at this point. Go ahead and fight me on his value, but he’s still elite and he’s showing it.

As for toews, I genuinely don’t care what people perceive as his value. I think it’s low, and it should be low, given his cap hit and output. I don’t care if he’s a captain. If he serves out his contract without any trade offers, so be it. If you can get a first out of him, god bless, but he’s no Kane or fleury at this point.

Even with fleury, Kane, Jones’ arrival, stronger play under king, and more a cleaner slate and conscious, this team still has no direction forward. They’ll never be good enough to win in the west with Colorado around, and ottawa and Detroit are in far better shape in the east then we are. Can anyone actually tell me why Jones came to Chicago? Did he come to win a cup or be in a city he liked to make millions?? Cuz the former isn’t gonna happen.

The Eichel situation is a 1 off situation. There's nothing to say that the Rangers would approve of his surgery. The reason Eichel's value was so much lower was because the risk is so much higher.

I think the Oilers would seriously consider a 2nd + Koskinen for Fleury at 50%. There's no way they'll give up a 1st unless something happens to Smith to prevent him from ever playing again.

The rangers wouldn't have been one of the top team if they wouldn't have let him get the surgery he wanted. And even if that surgery would've messed him up you still have time to get everything fix Kane has 2 years on his contract and you know how long due to his age. The rangers would NEVER trade kakko for Kane
