Islanders probably accept, Beau for LaBanc is more or less equal, and as good as Nelson is, Hertl is miles better.

I think the Isles say no here. They could just grab Hertl in FA if they wanted to. The Nelson could be moved for other assets, they wouldn’t do this

That isles trade is awful for San Jose. Hertl extended is worth quite a bit. Beau was a healthy scratch so can’t see his value being crazy high though he is talented. Nelson is older and on an $6 mil aav for many many years. This doesn’t make the sharks better in the long term.
