pretty small raise for a 1C don't you think? I figured he'd be looking at about $6M for a contract over 3-4 years...

Nice pipe dream. There is no reason for these teams to do you guys a favor and help with your cap.

Shattenkirk will get more money than that

lundqvist is to old to be an solo 1, NYR need a 1-A back up

Staal AKA cyclops is not desirable even at 50 percent retention.

Again no team is ever going to just say "yea hand us all your bad contracts, but dont give us any of your good players"

No, that's plenty enough. Better off with a 2 year show me contract 2x4m. He's not a 1c, and never will be.

Zib will get the kreider deal max-- hasn't proven much yet.
a solid two way player that plays in all situations and puts up 20+ goals and is a force on the ice is worth 3.9 million. add a prospect and a higher pick and you get Vatenens value fairly-- while saving anaheim cap room.
wouldn't do the duclair deal--unneccesary given rangers forward depth.
I would send picks or a depth forward (rights to pirri and clendening or something) or a prospect like kovacs (and late round pick) to vegas to take klein
add raanta to dallas deal, remove dallas' 5th, add niemi and honka, possibly retain a bit more on staal giving him a reasonable cap hit for what he brings. they solve goalie issue and rangers solve staals contract.
shatty will take a discount for rangers (not THAT much) but i can see 6-7yrx6.75

holden is a fine 3rd pairing D-- don't need to sign smith again-- skeji will be 2nd
