TDL Rid of Koskinen

In an ideal position, the Oilers would deal Koskinen's $4.5m ASAP and try accumulate cap space for the deadline to try get more flexible.. Give Skinner a shot for the next month w/ Smith supposedly healthy now, and run with these 2 to see what you got in Skinner.. If all goes well, maybe you can use the cap space for other needs, in other areas- I mainly see Top6 to replace Yamamoto, a potential 3rd line C (move McLeod to the wing or 4th line, and try find a partner willing to take either Turris and/or Ryan's deals).. And improve their 3rd line pairing d on the left side, with somebody a bit better than Koekkoek that can also play up in the lineup, should any injuries happen...Should Skinner falter a bit, or Smith get hurt again, use the space you accumulated and will likely accumulate with Smith on IR to bring in a better G by March 1st or at min by the TDL.. Here's what I've thought of for the time beings...
Kukan, I believe could be a nice fit to play in the bottom pairing, from what I've seen he can skate decently and defend as well as Koekkoek, so if they can get him for a minimal return then go for it...
As mentioned earlier, I would deal Koskinen ASAP to save the cap hit from him to Skinner, giving the Oilers the flexibility(should Varly waive his NTC for Edmonton) to have all 3 goalies on the roster with the other moves suggested, plus to be cap compliant can always send Skinner down too, but I have a feeling Smith will likely get hurt again..
Again, these are all merely some random ideas to try help them where they need it most sooner rather than later...
