Sid trades are always funny because they never really live up to what he should get and teams trading for him always think it's too much. They're never a win and knowing how Wild fans are on here, they're going to not like this one bit.

The value is there, just goes against the wilds current team building philosophy, from within and keeping their young talent. If it was Sid 7 years ago I’d be all for it, but at this point in his career and the way the wild are currently setup I can understand their fans not being as on board. I would imagine a return similar to this and another 1st for McDavid, which would make more sense for them as a franchise.

If the Pens ever trade Sid, there will be a riot. He has been the face of the franchise - and the whole league, really - for over a decade. He is one of those players that play their entire careers in one place. An interesting proposal, still.
