Because our gm made it clear he doesn't like deadline additions because of chemistry issues! He has also made it clear he will not pay for rentals

Lost is a bit much. Unwilling to overpay for a piece that isn't likely to put them over the top is probably more accurate, which is good. Remember all the wonderful trades Fletcher made each year to help the team? Though I suppose he could always find a team to trade Fiala or Greenway to for this year's version of Victor Rask.
