Description
The most important thing was to resign Campbell, then build around him. A few of the RFAs were signed to bridge deals to save money in the short-term.

This team has very good depth, but will probably need another goalie, depth defenseman, and top-6 forward at the '23 deadline. If struggling, you can move Robertson to the 4th line, and then shift Cobra and Engvall up a line.

Trades

TOR
  1. Mayfield, Scott
Additional Details:
He may not fit the "puck possession/movement" gameplan, but it has become very evident that we need a netfront presence to prevent opponents from being left alone/untouched.

  1. Holl, Justin
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Happens at '22 deadline, may need to add more

Given Holland's history with Mrazek, I can't see Edmonton trading for him.

I just think that they have too much of a need for a goalie, Holland will still make the deal.

Who cares about Holl. Anyone who looks at that trade can see that the second round pick is the main part of the trade. Not sure why the focus is on Holl.

Take him out if you want.

Because Leafs want the cap space. Isles could hold on to the better defenseman - I also think it'll take a little more than a 2nd rounder.
