Personally, and I am in the minority but I am more interested in a higher end prospect, closer to the nhl than a 1st. Someone like Olausson could come up with Eklund.

As an Avs fan, this is definitely something I'd think about doing. My first inclination is to try and sell you on Compher rather than Jost, as getting that addition $1.5M off the books would help Colorado next year. Might even add another pick or decent prospect to make that happen. Understand if Jost is more what you're after though.

Agree with your take that Olausson would be better than a late first for SJ.

Personally I would take Compher or Jost. And I agree with OP that Olausson coming up with Eklund is mighty tempting.

I think I would prefer compher honestly, especially if you’re willing to add in more. Jost just doesn’t really do much for me in a trade.
