Rangers going for the second tier deadline

It's honestly not terrible.
Strome for chytil.
Flower for georgiev and a 2nd.
Dehaan for hajek and nemeth.
The hawks get a lot younger instead of trading these guys for late draft picks in a meh draft.

The value is there for Chicago, but Strome for Chytil is a project for a project and I'm not sure he would do well on the hawks. Nemeth and Hajek don't make too much sense to me because they have so many young defensemen they should be giving opportunities to. Even though they aren't high potential players, they should still get time if the team goes the rebuild route which they should. I like Georgiev and the 2nd though.

Respectfully, I would have to disagree. Value wise its not so bad but too much coming back. Here is my reasoning:

Strome is looking better than Chytil and on a far worse team.
Flower for Georgiev and 2nd is fine
CDH can return us draft capital as we have a lot of guys who can play the LD role coming through the ranks. I would prefer to see Kalynuk or Beaudin given a chance above Hajek IMO.

Thanks for the feedback. I was really just attempting to fill both teams needs. I could see kravtsov over Chytil but tbh I have always loved kravtsovs game and really see him becoming a good weapon on the second line for NYR especially due to their lack of depth now. If the right asset isn’t available for the rangers to get back I could see them holding on to him and bringing him back when the khl season ends again to boost his value (or decide to retain him).
