Yes he has reason to. His family is there. He loves it there. He has stated how much he loves it there in multiple interviews.

Also the sharks decline the Boston and Minnesota trades. Barabanov is worth more than a 2nd and Boston doesn’t have anything the sharks want in a Hertl trade other than maybe Swayman
