Description
I'm looking at all of these top line guys and we can't afford to pay any of them next year or their next contract... JT Miller, Giroux, Hertl, Barkov... It's just not going to happen. If it does GMBG is wayy smarter than me (likely) and I'll stop making teams (unlikely).

Instead, we need the second tier guys who we can afford to pay next year. I considered Travis Boyd, Sean Kuraly, and Travis Laughton. But I settled on Boyd because I figured we were most likely to get him without giving up the current roster.

Why not pay the same price for Schmaltz who isn't a rental? Other than cap purposes... which I guess may be the reason? Parise and Suter buyouts hurt next year

Not sure if this is satire (probably is), but you can drop that first round pick.

Yeah it's the salary. I prefer Schmaltz as a player, but we can't afford him

I know prices get inflated here, so I wasn't sure. Naturally I'd rather get him for a 4th/5th. But he's having a good year.
