Description
Sabres get a top 4 d-man that can help alleviate Ristolainen's minutes and create some better match ups. I also feel that if Housley were to be the head coach, Vatanen would fit right into how he likes to run his defense, given how he's handled it in a Anaheim gets a young, speedy forward with a scoring touch that is expansion exempt, the 8th overall pick, and the rights to Girgensons who I feel would be a solid third line center on that team. Both players are young and RFA controlled which sweetens it a little bit.
I don't know if Anaheim would actually have interest in Girgensons seeing as they'd have to protect him, but it still allows them to go 7-3-1 (assuming Bieksa waives or is bought out). Also gives them some center depth, and the flexibility to put Girgensons on the wing as well.

------

Nash is a cap casualty for the Rangers who give up a 2nd to dump him off, but in return get Carrier who is expansion exempt and, in my opinion, plays somewhat of a similar style to Nash. Plugs in perfectly in the bottom 6, and can play in the top 6 when needed.
Nash comes to Buffalo and immediately adds scoring depth, playing anywhere in the top 9 to help create further match up problems.

No chance ANA does that trade. Kane would have to be involved. Also we need a Left shot D to pair with Risto. Vatanen is RHD.

Idk, I think they may consider it. Some nice future assets with Bailey possibly being a young Cogliano type guy for them. I could see Anaheim doing this and moving Buffalos first or their own for scoring help after expansion.

Buffalo bringing Antipin and Guhle to the NHL ne t season actually puts more emphasis on Buffalo needing a RHD more I believe. But I'd bump Bogo to the left side as he seems comfortable there and could tee up his shot more.

I dont hate it, but i want that left side fixed first. If we get legit help on the left id circle back to this.

Antipin and Guhle for sure help down the left side but we need a partner for Risto. I cringe at seeing McCabe on the top pair here. He really seemed to struggle down the stretch.
