Description
Time to get defensive. Colorado drafts Nolan Patrick 1st overall instead. They get 11th overall from Carolina and trade down to 15th to select Callan Foote. Callan Foote won't be NHL ready but a solid pick for the Avs if you ask me. Please provide input, i would do this in a heartbeat to kickstart a rebuild if possible. Thanks

This is a pretty bad set of trades and signings, no vision here

Not trying to be mean, but what???? So a top prospect, two young players with a bunch of potential, a 1st rounder, AND a 2nd rounder all for a 2nd/3rd liner who play that much of a defensive game. I disagree.

I like the idea of trading RFA we might now sign anyways for late rd picks. Van/NJ trade.

The swapping of 1sts with later picKS is an interesting idea I have thought about. You're right about Callan Foote I think he will be a solid 2 way player.

Avs/car trade - imo not enough coming back to avs. For varly as well as 9 we are getting Slavin or hanifin plus a 1st, plus a top flight forward prospect plus something else... no salary will be held by us either for those 2 players .

Col/bos - that's a lot for Landy. I'm not entirely sure what a Landy trade would look like now in Boston with new coaching change.

Maybe it's too much for Landy but you will have to pay a pretty penny for the former top 3 pick. Maybe it's just my biased against Vetrano and Spooner but I don't like their games. That's maybe why I undervalue those guys? And I don't believe Zoboril is a prospect that is well known around the league? So I guess I don't really understand his value. He's one of my favorite defensive prospects.

When it comes to the Carolina trade I don't know how strongly they feel about their top-their prospects. It could be a Bruins situation with Carlo where they don't want to give him up for anything.

All in all thank you for the input I see changes I can make.

You know Spooner outscored the ever declining Landeskog this season. And you want the Bruins to add so much more. Landeskog isn't the 19 year old any more. Looks like an overpaid LWer who for whatever reason, just can't perform to his salary any more.
I know I will be slayed by Avs fans, but please just look at the facts.
