Description
None of these are at all likely, but some unique ideas
Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Othmann, Brennan
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
NYR
  1. Atkinson, Cam
Additional Details:
Rangers need more scoring, Atkinson provides that. Would rather keep him but he would provide a decent return
2.
PHI
  1. Stepan, Derek
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (CAR)
CAR
  1. Lindblom, Oskar
Additional Details:
Flyers clear cap, Canes upgrade a forward
3.
PHI
  1. Koskinen, Mikko
  2. 2022 1st round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Jones, Martin
  2. Laughton, Scott
Additional Details:
A better backup goalie and some forward depth.
4.
PHI
  1. Monahan, Sean
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (FLA)
  3. 2023 1st round pick (CGY)
CGY
  1. Giroux, Claude ($4,137,500 retained)
Additional Details:
Giroux likely wouldn't waive for Calgary, could be interesting on the off-chance he did though
5.
PHI
  1. Greig, Ridly
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Pretty sure Flyers were really interested in Greig, and the Sens are stacked with prospects so it wouldn't be much of a loss
OTT
  1. Konecny, Travis
Additional Details:
Young forward to add to Ottawa's core

I like Konecny, but I think Greig is off the table for me. He’s all the things Ottawa wants their team to be.

Jarventie is quietly having a very solid season for the BSens as a 19 year old. Strong skating stride, good offensive instincts and a really good shot. Still need to fill into his 6'3 frame, but he is still just a teenager after all. I'd counter with an offer of something like Jarventie and a 2nd this year and next.

Agreed! Greig isn’t going anywhere

You really can’t call Lindblom an upgrade at forward, at least for the Canes you can’t. Canes won’t scratch Martinook, Lorentz is playing on the second line right now, Jarvis won’t be beaten out by Lindblom, and Stepan is having a better year than Lindblom. Yes Lindblom has 3 more points, but Stepan has 3 fewer points in 10 fewer games. Lindblom would be on pace for 29 points in a full season, whereas Stepan would be on pace for 30 in a full season. It’s not that much of a difference between the 2 offensively, but the true difference is defensively, and Stepan is better. Oh, and Lindblom has been playing on the top line for most of the season, when Stepan has been playing on the 4th line. That in and of itself, with Stepan having a better production pace, speaks volumes. Simple math proves that Lindblom would not be an upgrade and that he would just be a cap dump, as the OP has said themselves. Canes also can’t afford him, so he stays in Philly for the time being.

So goofy good this season. 5 goals, 6 points clear of the 2nd leading scorer on his team in 12 fewer games. I think he's 3rd in the WHL in points per game.
