Take out Erne, Staal with his NMC and the second going to San Jose. Take out Hertl cause we won't be able to afford him with Vlasic in the future. Add this year's first with that and maybe.

Originally i was thinking a 2025 & 2026 1st rounders to shed pickles. Basically it should make sure you don't actually pay to shed his cap instead of being stuck with buying it out.

Honestly his term is just too long for too much money for us to have any interest in him. It would have to be a major overpay, this year's first and next to start with. I would want guaranteed high draft picks. I wouldn't want to try and have to trade him in a couple years and have those picks possibly be 20+.
