Description
COL-NYI Trade (based on https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3099789, https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/562847)
Beauvillier for Girard has been discussed a few times and is a good hockey trade, but other pieces needed to be added. In this deal, NYI gets a top-4 LHD and adds a couple of prospects to a shallow pool, and gains the flexibility to make moves on offense. COL gets a Burakovsky-replacement, a young LHD with offensive potential (replacing Girard), and a starting goalie to a contender that has no NHL goalies under contract next season (plus the obvious familiarity of Varlamov to COL). They also get out of a long-term contract on Girard when their top-4 LHDs for the foreseeable future are set (Toews & Byram).

OTT-NYI Trade (based on https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/562695)
Also a hockey trade. OTT gets a stay-at-home RHD on a cheap contract. Isles gets a top-9 RW.

TOR-NYI Trade
Many trades have involved Dermott to NYI. I'm comfortable moving Wilde for him to get the immediate help.

ARI-NYI Trade
Arizona gets a veteran scorer to help with the younger players. NYI gets cap flexibility and a Clutterbuck replacement.

Isles also sign Paul Stastny to gain a veteran scoring forward, Anton Stralman as a bottom-pairing RHD, and Mikko Koskinen as a backup goalie.

The Avs trade heavily favors the Islanders. Girard for Beauvillier + 2nd? Maybe. Everything else? No

i dont think i do it as ottawa. mayfield is good and browns not untouchable but i dont think i would be looking to trade brown for a prospect at a position of need instead of another RD

I wouldn’t do that Ottawa trade - Brown is a good middle 6 guy but to put him with Barzal is kind of messed up.

I’d rather trade Mayfield for picks or a player under the age of 26

Connor Brown isn't being moved unless it's a deal Ottawa can't refuse... which this is not.

I definitely think we could take Barron out and still have this be somewhat fair. I like the idea of us getting Kaut. Don't forget, you're getting Salo and an upgrade in picks too.
