Are the Caps really in a position where they need to move Sprong and a first for a middle 6 forward and a bottom pairing defense man?

Id be more interested in Nieto than Cogliano. I think hes the better player and he already knows a lot of COL players, plus they fit the same 'bottom 6F + PK' role

Barabanov for a 2nd + Sprong is ideal but MF Hagel got such an overpayment that it would be nearly impossible to argue with any trade / value going forward. BC got a 1st + lol like you could tell me Barabanov got traded for a 1st 2nd + prospect and i would believe it at this point

nope... since MAntha has come back they are 7-0-1 *might be 6-0-1. they are getting hot at the right time and i wouldnt touch that roster...might look to trade Eller bc McM looks amazing right now

Nieto would cost more being that he's got another year at only 850k.
