have you just like, never heard of Connor Brown before? Brandon Hagel with 37 points and 2 years left on the his deal (after this season) at $1.5AAV got two firsts and two young players with upside. Connor Brown has 36 points this season with 1 season left on his deal (after this season) at $3.6AAV but you're asking for 1M retained salary so that's $2.6AAV. Hagel is an RFA and younger so that adds some value. But if a 37-point guy is getting two 1sts and two young roster players, a 36-point guy who is way stronger defensively is getting a 1st + a prospect at the very least, and you're still probably adding there.
