Description

Didn't complete any trades because it's anyone's guess who Yzerman is going to target this summer. This team still needs serious help down the middle and on LD but signing Forsberg really rounds out the top 6 nicely and allows Zadina/Vrana to be pushed down to the 3rd line with newcomer Berggren.

I'd love for Yzerman to go after Scheifele but he's got a NMC and I doubt we have the assets to acquire him anyway.

forsberg is a LW1 and i dont think he would sign with a team that would play him elsewhere

An elite center is the biggest need, this doesn't address any of that. I want nothing to do with Scheifele, even if he is obtainable, as he seems like a douche and there have been rumors that he is not liked in the room. Detroit doesn't need to add locker room poison to this group.

Semi irrelevant, but you can't sign Forsberg to an 8 year deal without paying to get his rights prior to free agency.
