Shouldn't be sending that 3rd or Stanley to Buffalo, the Sabres don't need a Stanley type anyway.

That Coyotes trade makes zero sense for Arizona so they'd pass.

If the Jets want to compete next season they need to get a Trocheck type whether they keep Scheifele or not, think it'd take a higher AAV and more years to convince Trocheck to sign with the Jets though.

No reason for Arizona or Winnipeg to do that deal. Arizona needs younger players and the Jets don't need to overpay so drastically for an LD they don't need.

Idk man, with Perfetti in the NHL and Lucius soon to be, do you really want to lock Trocheck for that 2C for years?

IMO the Jets would be making a huge mistake trading Stanley Logan.
Big players take longer to develop and defensemen take even longer.
Are there any bigger players than Chara and Thompson.
Chara was 25 before he started to play well.
Thompson turned 24 at the beginning of this season, then boom, he puts up all star goals (only 18 NHL players have more goals than he).
Buffalo does not need LHD but I would absolutely take a gamble with this trade as DeMelo may find a spot in the line and all it cost was swapping a 2nd for a 3rd.

Absolutely, Wheeler is in decline and both of those two youngsters are inexperienced and who knows if they'll be able to handle the 2C job or given this organization's history with young forwards will they even be played at center?!.. lol

I can see it already, both Perfetti and Lucius will be put on the wings and the talk in Jetsland will be the need for more centers in the organization.. haha 😄... I was firmly in the leave Perfetti in the AHL playing center and slide his ELC, bring him up for a few games at the end of the season, with how everything has played out and the talk of Scheifele possibly being moved I think my take was right, would be in a way better position for next season if Perfetti had spent this entire season in the AHL playing center and going on a Calder Cup run. Oh well, just another misplay by Chevy and his crew.

Also I don't necessarily mean Trocheck specifically but before this season started I was saying the Jets absolutely needed at least one more top or middle 6 forward if they really wanted to compete and with Wheeler getting another year older, Stastny a UFA and Copp gone they're still going to need at least one.
Really wish they'd made the Buchnevich trade and only acquired one dman instead of two, would be in a way better position now if they had.

Injuries happen and a good team needs depth to survive, the Jets depth just doesn't measure up compared to other teams.
I can't get over how bad the Jets secondary scoring is compared to good teams, adding a Trocheck type would help in fixing that which if they want to compete absolutely needs to happen.

So yeah I think even with Perfetti and possibly Lucius in the fold I do think the Jets need to add at least one Trocheck type in the offseason and if it's a guy who can play center or wing that'd be even better, sorry for the long winded response.. 🤣
