I think both offers are not enough to get Fiala or Chychrun.

It's interesting but you've only got 22 guys and less than $200K in cap space. It's not horribly egregious but probably means you'd have to rework a little here.

I don't think that package gets Chychurn - if Arizona was gonna accept that you'd probably have a dozen other GMs calling back to easily beat it.

Varlamov is rumored to have Toronto on his NTC, so not sure if that happens - but a late 1st/early 2nd + maybe a prospect is okay value for him.

Minnesota is moving Fiala because they're in a cap crunch - even if he did sign at $7M(more likely to be $8Mish), they're taking back about $5M in cap hit here, which doesn't really help them much. They're still going to have to move someone else in order to make it work for them next year.

Feels like you could have a better Dadonov deal here - they were going to send Anaheim a 2nd rounder to get back an LTIRetired Ryan Kesler & an AHL buried guy in John Moore that still costs them $1.625M. If they were willing to part with a 2nd to save about $3.375M midseason, I could see them throwing in something to save the about $4M they would knock off their cap with this swap.

Both Arizona and Minnesota decline, And Fiala will get closer to $7,500,000 to $8,000,000 per long term.
