Two years younger but three inches taller and 35 pounds heavier with a year of North American professional hockey under his belt and better performance, Helge Grans isn't anywhere near a "prospect of similar skill and upside" to Albert Johansson.

Man I hope Yzerman stays far away from Zadorov. Outside of that Daryl Sutter system, playing in the West, I think he'd be massively exposed for his lack of speed and Detroit world regret that contract quickly.

But he’s so fun

Detroit’s defensive strength(I use that term very loosely) is in the right side with seider hronek and lindstrom. They need help in the left with evidsson the only one in the system that could be NHL caliber and he will be a rookie if he even plays this year.

The reason Yzerman (and Håkan Andersson) chose William Wallinder over Helge Grans in that draft was that Grans is a Hronek copy in style, gung ho offense and little defense. We don't need another player like Hronek and we don't need another RD (we have Tuomisto). Johansson is worth ten times what Grans is to Detroit right now with the way our left side looks.
