Description
If what I read about the Flyers heavily scouting Kemell are true, I think Philly and Ottawa can make a swap. We know 1-4 will probably be Wright, Nemec, Cooley and Slafkovsky in some order, 5-6 should be Jiricek and Savoie… so Philly trading back to 7 would mean they get Kemell or a 100% guarantee on one of the guys supposed to go 1-6.
While the Sens could use a guy like Kemell, personally think they’d be much better off landing Jiricek.

So the main question is, what does it take for the sens to offer to move 2 spots in the draft?
A 2nd and a low grade but explosive prospect like Lodin? Or something like a 2nd and another piece that would essentially be getting replaced in the draft like Brannstrom?

Would sens fans do this?

Would Philly fans be willing to trade back if we know the team wants a guy who should be available at 7? Not like the consolation prize is bad.

Trading back would be dumb, draft Nemec/Jiricek and move on

Nemec will be gone, the point of this post is that there’s a good chance Philly is going for Kemell, not Savoie or Jiricek…

Imo that would be a mistake to skip on a RD prospect.

Who do you think takes Nemec? Seattle?

Sens don't really need a RD prospect as they have Guennette, JBD, Thompson, Zub, and potentially Brannstromm in the future on the right side they'd be much better off with drafting a forward like Savoie, Lekkerimaki, Kasper, Nazar, Gauthier, basically any winger.

I agree that it would be a bad idea, I was shocked to hear Fletcher himself was scouting Kemell, if we do go that route, I would rather optimize draft day and get another piece or two if we leave Jiricek and Savoie on the board.

Granted it might just be smoke but who knows.

Nemec would really be a good choice for any team. 2-4. NJ might grab him actually, they already have 2 good C’s so him or Slafkovsky probably goes to NJ
