Description
This rendition has Guerin casting his eye to 2025 and beyond having seen his best shot of the cap hell period go up in smoke in the series with the Blues.
In the process of that, he learned:
1. Fiala isn’t the guy he wants to pay mega bucks to, an do he can’t anyway given the cap penalties.
2. He has three guys who are pretty similar in Hartman, Gudreau, and to some extent Jost. One had a career year playing with 97 and likely has more value outside the building than he does inside, especially considering his contract. Another rose to be a legitamite 3rd line center. And the other is still quite young and given the trade to acquire him, I think they want to see more. They likely don’t want to tie up three roster spots at C though, especially when they need to continue to try to find a legitimate #1 C. They strategically shop Hartman.
3. D-lo doesn’t do much that Duhaime can’t do with higher upside.
What others learned:
1. MAF knows the monumental challenge that BG will have to field a Cup chasing roster. He goes back to Pittsburgh on one year deal.
2. Cam Talbot seeks a trade - feels like they crapped on him, and they sort of did.
3. Fiala vs. Evason goes two ways and Fiala feels like he is being held back in MN - wants big bucks and dreams of being an even bigger star.

Additional Details:
This is for Slavkovsky. Devil fans may feel like they should get more…maybe they could. But they get a steady veteran goalie to go along with a 25 year old who is ascending and was a top 25 points guy in the league this year. Expecting to get that out of a draft pick within even next three years is rare…so maybe this value is right?

Additional Details:
Vegas needs help with their cap and they get that and more with Hartsy and his fabulously team friendly contract- in this scenario Wild GM believes Hartman value never higher.

Ive seen better for Chychrun so i dont think you get him here.
Your right in that Hartmans value is never higher... but definitely not what you think your getting here.

If I am Jersey, I likely say yes no problem.
If I am Vegas, I wouldnt give you a 1st & 2nd for Hartman unless you were taking a large dollar contract that was unmovable... so just no
If I am NYI, I would say nope
If I am Arizona, I say other offers are better, call me when you have at a minimum a 1st in there and dont ask me for a 3rd.

This goalie tandem may rival anderson/tokarski as worst of all time
