Description
Definitely setting the team up to have the ability to sell some assets at the deadline and keeping two of the three retained salary spots available. Taking some not so great contracts from contenders as a lot of teams will be looking for more financial flexibility. This allows Seattle to add more picks and build up a prospect pool.

Major overpay on the Avs trade. Dunn would be a 3rd pairing guy in Colorado and would not get any PP time. Avs are better off giving a similar contract to a guy like Manson and keeping their 2023 1st, best defensive prospect, decent forward prospect, and EJ.

WTH is that COL trade? Vince Dunn would be like the 5th best dman on COL get zero power play time and they are expected to trade a dman that fills his roll significantly better, the Avs top d prospect a forward prospect and a 1st. I’ve seen some bad value trades on here but this is up there. Seriously I want to understand how a) you decided the Avs would want Dunn knowing already under contract for next year they have Makar, Toews, Byram, and Girard b) how you think Dunn is worth that package?

The Flyers will throw in JVR as well but lets bump that pick up to a 3rd. Lindblom and JVR for one of your 3rds.
