Dallas says no. With his latest injury, Khudobin could retire or end up on LTIR. If he doesn't, he's a very cheap buyout or gets buried and expires at the end of the year. Essentially this trade is a 2nd for Bailey and a 5th. In that case, it would be a cap dump so the higher pick should be going to Dallas, not NY for this deal to work.

Your best case for trading Bailey to Dallas would be swapping him for Suter.

Trading Bellows for a fourth is a bad idea. Dude put up decent numbers with minimal ice time on a team that doesn’t believe in scoring goals.

I don’t think Bailey would be viewed as a negative asset if not for a few vocal isles fans on this site tbh. That being said, I’m not even sure Bailey for Suter would be a bad trade for NYI or Dallas.
