Yeah, may have overdone it a bit BUT one has to remember that this is Ottawa and they have in the past had to pay a bit of a premium to get guys to want to commit there long-term.

1. Minnesota can have either Connor Brown or 7th overall for Fiala, not both.

2. We are not paying Fiala more than our own captain.

I think there are circumstances that could make both work, but not in this setting. My mock has both pieces + sokolov, but MIN's 1st coming back. There's obviously still a large gap between Brown and Fiala, but the gap isn't as large as 7th outright.
