holy crap no way islanders do this. Take out 13OA and add a 2nd. Neither of those guys combined are worth close to this

Don't see why Washington adds a 2nd here. Washington is giving up the younger goalie with potential for a 34 year old goalie with a .003 better save percentage. If anything, I'd think the Isles add something minor, like a 5th or something around there instead of Washington adding a 2nd.

If anything the Isles r getting too little. I don’t think Vanecek has much room to grow. Also the difference in save percentage can be explained away by the quality of team in front of the two net minders.

So we should value players like Tokarski more because he can win playoff games? If you think a 34 year old goalie with a .911 sv% should get more than a 2nd rounder and a 26 year old goalie with a .908 sv% , I think you should reconsider your values. Just because he won a couple playoff rounds could just as easily be a reflection on the team in front of him, and it's not worth as much as you think.
