TOR
Starting off - not a leaf’s fans/ homer so if anything my “bias” leans toward SJ but tryna make this very realistic.

Now Reimer is a Shark and I doubt there’s any room for moving him IRL unless it’s worth it. The team plans to contend and they have faith in KK and Reimer but Hill shouldn’t be given up on fully.

What I’m proposing here is if the Leafs are WILLING to make a large deal that doesn’t impact their core this could be a realistic stop gap in net. San Jose won’t move Reimer for cheap but the Leafs aren’t letting anyone fleece them. So here’s my proposal.
    SJS
    2.
    TOR
    1. Reimer, James ($1,125,000 retained)
    SJS
    1. Abruzzese, Nick
    2. Mrázek, Petr
    3. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
    Additional Details:
Mrazek was a bad signing. I saw the merit but it’s one of the moves I heavily disagreed with from Dubas. I had little faith it would work out and it clearly did not work out. He’s expensive and made of glass.

Here SJ not only takes on Petr, but they retain on Reimer giving the Leafs a ton more opportunity financially.

I feel like Abruzzese may be to costly to include but I’d like a prospect coming back to SJ as I feel Reimer is almost with the value of a first but with retention and Petr; SJ needs a major incentive to finalize the deal. If not Nick who?

    Let me know.

Don’t hate it at all. I’d take out Abbruzzuze but otherwise it’s a pretty solid deal.

Seems like an L for San Jose to me. Reimer half retained for Abruzzese who projects as possibly a 3rd liner.

Why would San Jose do that? Terrible trade for them

That’s too much. Reimer and a 1st should be enough. If not a B level prospect at best.
