This is best case scenario for the oilers next year. this team has 3 solid lines, the first is relatively the same with holloway for kane, who i think will end up playing similar styles but holloway much much better 2way player. the 2nd line being DRY again is the 1st line on any other team, the 3rd line that evolved greatly over the course of the playoffs and one that i think Mcleod makes a giant leap in this year. a 4th line there primarily to kill penalties, they wont see much ice with mcdavid playing 22min a night and thats fine. and I have addressed the glaring issues on defense and in goal. Theodore for keith, and Manson for Barrie are 2 huge upgrades in the defensive zone. having a tandem of husso and skinner is a bit unproven but both are solid goalies and will be much more stable than smith/mikko. this team would surely make the conference finals again, and would be a contender for the cup. note: on here this team is 750k over cap, but if keith retires it is actually 2.6m under.
