Description
Trade #1
To OTT - Travis Konecny
To PHI - Ridly Greig, 39th overall, 2023 2nd round pick (OTT)

Ottawa has the prospects and draft capital to make a splash to push for a playoff spot in the Atlantic and have a deep run during TK's term. Brady, TK, Norris, Batherson, Stutzle would be a great core with Pinto, Jarventie, Boucher in the system still. Greig is a solid prospect, but he's not going to be a top-line player. I think TK has maxed out his potential in Philadelphia and Greig's potential and recouping two 2nd round picks makes this deal work for both sides.

Trade #2
To VGK - Travis Konecny ($1,500,000 retained)
To PHI - Evgeni Dadonov, Brendan Brisson, 2024 2nd round pick (VGK)

This one comes down to if Vegas can make the cap work. Brisson is creative and has the potential to be a dynamic RW playmaker. VGK's window is now and TK is a solid top-six player who would help contribute to their success. Flyers would buy-out Dadonov and allow him to hit FA wherever he can go.

Trade #3
To LAK - Ivan Provorov
To PHI - Alex Turcotte, 51st overall, 2023 3nd round pick (LAK)

LA needs a top-pairing LHD and if they miss out on Chychrun, Provorov is next up. His underlying numbers have never been good, however, he's never had a legitimate RHD partner except for Matt Niskanen (his best season). He has his weaknesses - specially with puck moving and running a powerplay, but he's been tasked with playing 25 minutes a game and playing against top lines. Turcotte is a blue chip in this deal, but his talent as a 1st liner isn't as high as his DY. 2nd line, two way center is a more reasonable projection.

Trade #4
To DET - Ivan Provorov
To PHI - Shai Buium, Carter Mazur, 2023 1st round pick (DET) [top-2 protected]

DET gets to set up a legitimate core of Provorov, Seider, Edvinsson, and Hronek as they prepare for their return to the playoffs. The biggest asset going back is the DET 1st which is most likely going to be in the 14-18 range next year with this trade. Buium and Mazer have decent potential and are both players I liked during their DY and DY+1 years.

Other offseason moves:
Buyouts: Oskar Lindblom, James vanRiemsdyk
Free Agent Signings: Maxim Mamin, Andrew Copp

I think Konecny would be great on the second line with Stuztle in OTT, However wingers like Grieg are not something the Sens have a surplus of.

Would you take the deal if OTT countered with JDB or Lassi Thompson as the prospect with the same picks?

I like JDB but if that happens then the Flyers need to take Savoie or Gauthier with 5ov and not one of the RHD to fill that void. I'd also throw in Morgan Frost into that Greig deal if that does anything for you.

Frost and Konecny for Grieg and the 2 2nd I would do for sure. Sens can make up the physical side fo the Greigs game with Boucher in a year or two.

Detroit declines. I like Provorov and all but we really shouldn’t be trading away our firsts yet even if it’s top-2 protected. I’m fine with giving up Buium but Mazur looks like he could be a good NHLer one day and a right handed shot is something we need

I like these trades a lot for the Flyers. I think they could probably get more with the Vegas trade since they are retaining on TK. Also wouldn’t mind the Flyers taking a try on someone like Zadina
