Speaking for Kakko- probably way more than MTL would be willing to part with.
There is a notion out there that Kakko is a struggling prospect- and if you look at his G and A stats it's easy to come to that conclusion. That he was a healthy scratch for Game 6 you do have to question where he stands in the eyes of the org. But reality is Kakko is developing nicely. He might never be a big "production" guy- but he is very strong along the boards and real good defensively. NYR would be wise to hold onto him tightly. So unless blown away by a crazy overpay- which includes a C w/ top6 future- NYR shouldn't consider moving him.
