Stick to the plan. Be patient. Keep acquiring draft picks if possible and don't rush any of the prospects. Impact forwards can be acquired more cheaply than impact (top-pair) defensemen.

acquire guys like Lucic, Kassian, Monahan (?) — caps dumps and retain and flip some for picks

Don’t so and sign a big name guy just to do that but based off everyone Verbeek has worked with we are in just fine shape, Verbeek has got this
