Id do (well, attempt) a back flip if the Sabres could move Olofsson for that.

That Buffalo trade is brutal for Edmonton

I think VO would thrive playing with McJesus himself. I think Sabres should add 2nd to even the trade, making it Oilers moving down couple spots, rather than giving up on the draft.

Well obviously when I saw the trade it appeared to greatly favor the Sabres.
But does it?
The first round pick is 29th OA, nearly a second.
The Sabres do not have a spot for Foegele https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/600433?post_id=3345453
So he is more of a cap dump than an asset.
So Olofsson "would thrive playing with McJesus", what would Puljujärvi do NOT playing with McJesus?
Over 75% of the time Jesse lined up with either Connor or Leon on the ice.
He managed to assist ONLY 22 times of the 34 goals when he was on the ice with Connor and the 24 goals when he was on the ice with Leon.
Being on the ice for 58 goals should result in at least 29 assists.
Playing away from McJesus in Buffalo, Jesse will not get 14 goals.
Let me add, 14 goals in 65 games is only one more than Hinostroza got in 62 games, in other words, BIG DEAL!

Upon review, I would stay away from this deal.
A LW who is not needed, an under performing RW and a near 2nd is not nearly enough for Olofsson.
Well that is my take on this, which I know is different from all of yours.
