I understand that Canucks fans want high picks and young players for MIller, but there's really no sense to the Jackets trading away those assets for a player that makes them maybe barely a playoff team, likely doesn't re-sign and puts them into an awful cap situation if he does re-sign for the kind of money he is likely going to want. The teams that make sense to acquire Miller are teams who already have an established playoff team who are looking to add one really significant piece to take a run at the cup next year.
