Jersey would still need to add and there's nothing at all that starts the conversation for Scheifele on the New York deal.

Rangers really don't have the cap for Scheiefe. Blues are thousands times better just resigning Perron and keeping Kostin and the first rounder than Wheeler.
A lot better options for Jersey than 6.2m Hellybuck for two years. Heck UFA Campbell and Helly have the same numbers, they can sign Campbell cheaper and keep the second overall.

2nd overall pick for Helly is brutal.

Neither St Louis or the Rangers can afford Wheeler and Scheifele respectively.
