Description
Not really a huge fan of Lindgren, but I'm guessing MN will end up signing a cheap fringe backup goalie after MAF runs away.

I like the Poolparty for a 2nd trade better for EDM and their cap. I think EDM wants a player back instead.

he'll cost Edmonton 2.5 at most. Holland has been clear he is not interested in picks and would want to make a hockey trade that impacts the roster right now. Oilers say no to any trade that is just picks because oilers are in win now mode. plus I doubt they will be interested in helping a western conference team get better.

Puljujarvi is absolutely an offer sheet candidate in the 2nd rounder compensation range.

The reason there are so few offer sheets, is they have to be an overpayment for the player to work. Otherwise, quick match.

So a team offers $4.2m, Edmonton likely says goodbye and takes a 2023 2nd. That said, the team that offers has $4.2m tied up in Puljujarvi, who could turn into Nichuskin or Paajarvi.

All true. But that's exactly why a team may take a chance on him. I think he's way more likely to become a Nichushkin type than flame out of the league.

Sure, but way more likely to flame out (or in this case, end up with a 3rd line player based on his stats.) How many GM's want to take that risk? That's why there are so few offer sheets.
