I don't see the Caps moving for Varly unless Kuemper shocks the world and signs elsewhere (I'm sure Edmonton is dangling big money now that Keith's of their books, and Buffalo can pay him a higher AAV than pretty much anyone in the league.)

I don't love giving Palat that type of deal - he's a fine player but giving a 31 year old a 7 year deal is nuts to me - same with giving 32-year-old Kadri 6. I think you're going to hate the last 3 or so years of both deals if you sign them.

Girard for Beau is an unnecessary trade and massive waste of cap space to have him as the 3 LD playing 16-17 minutes a night.
Bailey only gets moved if the Isles sign someone in FA or trade for someone, otherwise he is with the team next year (plays his 1,000 game at Home against the Rangers this year).
Lou has been adamant that he is not trading Varly, only scenario where he is moved is the Isles are out at the TDL.
Barzal to the W is a mistake, he needs to be a center.
Kadri is being reported to the Rangers.
