They're both good prospects but realistically I think they top out as 2nd line players. Addison probably tops out as a 2nd pairing D that runs your power play, that doesn't seem too unreasonable to me?

Addison is already 22 and has played 18 NHL games. Those other guys are top prospects. It's not close

Addison is worth, at best, a 2nd. He's still waivers exempt and that is why he has any value.

I think it would be hilarious to see a Suter/Addison pairing be comparable/better than a Middleton/Spurgeon pairing.

I don't see this as a bad idea actually might be better for Dallas in the long term than reopening talks with klingberg which I personally think he's next contract is going to be loaded with regrett. That's just my opinion not heavily invested in either team so just an outsider looking in.
