Description

Ignore lines. Didn't touch anything. 8.7 mil should be enough to sign Laine but who knows. I don't think Nashville ever replaced Arvidsson. They're not a team looking to blow it up. Who knows if they win a playoff round if they play someone other than Colorado. Nyquist can fill a spot for a year while giving Kemell or some of the other young wings time to develop.

I think Nyquist has legitimate value but hearing what teams wanted for JVR and seeing the Paccioretty and Kassian trades I have a hard time believing the Jackets get anything in return if they aren't adding.

I could see Nashville as a possible destination, but I feel like it’ll be a Nyquist and Bean for FC type trade.

I don't hate it, but NSH doesn't have the cap space anymore to add his entire cap hit. Some retention would be required-- however, I don't see NSH paying for retention. I really don't see NSH paying a lot for Nyquist either as there are still some cheaper options in FA if they want to go that route.

That’s looking at it as a 20 man roster. They’ll have 23. So there is really around $7m in cap space left and Trenin will probably make between $1.75-2.5m I would guess. That doesn’t leave room for Nyquist at $5.5m.
