Description
Extremely deep team but something has to give if rumors on Canes looking to bring back Nino are true. Even if he signs at 3m which seems really low, they'd still have to figure out a way to dump all or most of Gardiner and sign Necas closer to 3m which is possible but still a challenge even though he doesn't have arb rights. If they make moves in the wrong order (sign Nino before dumping Gardiner or trading Bear or potentially signing Necas) a team could offer a reasonable OS to Necas which would be difficult to match.

Even if they can fit it all in like in the scenario below they'd have to only carry 1 extra player, they'd likely be playing Necas on the 4th lines (which I don't hate as a fan and it's nice to have insurance on KK at 2C or in case of injuries in the top 9 but I'm sure it'll further the rift between the player and team), and probably will end up hurting Drury because they'll likely end up limiting his minutes or not giving him an opportunity at all. I think bringing Nino back can work but to me it seems like a juggling act that needs to be coordinated carefully and in the proper sequence.

I like the move for Bear but I think his contract might be a tad too big for the Wild. If Dumba is part of the deal, that’s another story.

Yeah I wasn’t sure if you guys could fit it in. I saw a comment on another thread asking about a Bear kulikov swap so that’s where idea came from. Canes def can’t afford Dumba cap hit anymore so maybe if he was moved in a separate deal? Or could also move Bear to the nucks or somebody else and send a pick for Kulikov.

I imagine that the top 6 lines look at least to start like Patches-Aho-Turbo and Svech-KK-Jarvis. If the Canes do bring back Nino, we already know what the 3rd line will be. Assuming the Canes do get Necas resigned, I would imagine Necas gets to start the season at 4C, with Kase and Drury flanking him, but Drury will take draws on the left side of the ice, and depending on what the situation is, they would split the 4C role. Depending on how things go in terms of offensive production between Necas and KK, they might get swapped, but I also expect Necas to get a trial by fire at 2C at some point during the season.

Needless to say, if the Canes bring back Necas and Nino, I think we have a very fun team to watch throughout the season.

Yeah I could see top 6 being what you have but I’d like to put Patches and Turbo together with KK bc I think he’ll need to do less playmaking wise and focus more on solid 2 way game and board battles. If he’s with Svech and Jarvis I think he’d need to be a bit more active offensively but either way I think it could work and we’ll see the RBA blendomatic to see what works best.

Unfortunately I think Marty draws in to start over Drury which is worst part about bringing Nino back. I want Drury to get a real opportunity but would be hard for that to happen until inevitable injuries occur.

Regardless, very fun team!

If they can move Dumba separately, I’m all in on Bear for Kuli.
