I’m sure Calgary wants to help the team that just signed their former franchise player lol

I get why people are so obsessed with this concept, but it really doesn't work for the Jackets. We want that Gaudreau-Laine connection; we don't want to recreate Calgary.

I think people are excited about the possibility, and rightfully so.. M. Tkachuk is an advanced stats unicorn. He's one of the best players in league. Unfortunately he's not a center so that makes things complicated for Columbus. Probably not a smart idea to dedicate that much cap space to three wingers. Columbus might not even be on the list of teams he'd sign with, but it's fun to imagine.. Heck if it happened the hockey world would go nuts. If it would, I think Jarmo would have to think about trading Laine to address other needs on the roster. But yeah in essence it's a bonkers idea. But so was Johnny Jacket signing in Columbus... lol... I'm just curious to see what trade or trades Jarmo is going to pull off to address the cap space and maybe D. I'm also excited to see Johnny and Laine together, that's going to be fun. That has to be the oddest superstar combo in the league.
