Season 2023-24 as show above in small print for some reason lol

Caufield -scores 25 goals and 65 point this season securing himself just under Suzuki's deal and term being a Winger.

Dach - will be in year 2 of a 4 year deal but this site wont let me account for RFA's without deals obviously so im including it in the Description.

Harris- From what i can tell Bridge deal is most likely given the depth behind him all playing for top spot and now Matheson and Eddy ahead of him

The rest dont require explinations and i think are straight forward enough as is.
This is MTL's roster with Riley Kidney and Mesar in Laval leading their top line ready for call up

We'll have likely Dach and Ylonen making their cast to move out Evans and Armia.
We'll have Josh Roy jumping from Junior to the NHL IMO who couldnt be more of a perfect fit
Put him beside guys like Anderson and Dvorak with size. They'll create the most possession time for Roy.

Beyond all the youth that will be pushing out players
We have the choice between 2 paths for their Center Veteran Leader

PLD - Mr "i scored 50+ i want a trade" who cant win faceoff's and is consistent only in his inconsistency ironicially enough who wants more then Suzuki/Caufield EARNED

Dvorak - Low Cap and high production rate as a 200ft player who's finished top 10 in faceoffs twice in the past 5 seasons . He's basically Vermette 2.0 or Yanic Perrault 2.0 if you're my age lol

If its me i'd want Dvorak as he'll be leaving just as Riley Kidney will be entering the NHL
We also have Owen Beck who fell out of the 1st round into our laps somehow who will be about 1 year behind Riley Kidney

Thats just what we have or the piece's i value as highest in the next 2 years
This isnt including the Tank for Badard Campaign and what happens if somehow we win him.

Everything with the timing says to me if PLD is a UFA and wants to sign for 6-6.5m with term
Fine i'll support that all day long but to lose depth just to overpay him and F ourselves with Caufield ?

It just makes no sense whatsoever for a player who ALWAYS thinks the Grass is Greener on the other side especially give how WPG declined right after he showed up

That said French Media turned him into one
Even Draft day was all about how CBJ blocked PLD coming to MTL
It wasnt about how MTL just drafted a Power Forward Center they desired

I feel that problem goes away maybe a few months if he comes here
But the Honeymoon period will wear off and he'll turn on the people .
MTL Media only builds people up to tear them down these days
It was always bad but there used to be the majority who were against Brendan Kelly Sensationalism
Now they all do it , Even Stu Cowan sold out

My theory is that dach doesn’t make it as a Center and breaks out on the wing and Montreal market craves a French Canadian, so drives gm to spend a few million more on Dubois over dvorak, not sure if it’s a few million more plus term upgrade but we will see.

But this isnt replacing Danault even let alone Upgrading

Ya I’m not offering rhyme or reason, just the French media in love with the prospect of a French Canadian in a prominent role on the Canadians again. Huberdeau maybe suffice. But still have a feeling there’s a deal in the works for the last guys dead weight/new scenery trio, and possibly floridas first. Maybe make a hole for a successful transition. Not sure if hughes has the same love for journeyman grinder dman, but still a lot to be seen.
