That is an easy pass from Chicago...You would need a 4th just to dump Foegele on us...and an old bad prospect is not enough for an effective bottom 6 player at half salary retention.

What I don’t like about this for the hawks is that they are using one of their three retaining salaries for the next two years on a player who already has a cap hit of about 1 mil for a very minimal return. The retained salary spot is more valuable for trades involving Toews, Kane and Domi.

Lafferty is Davidsons baby and prototypical player. He is a guy that if he can find some more 'finish' to his game, can easily become a solid middle 6 motor player. As DangleCat said, that offer barely pays for dumping Foegele on us.

Sorry OP but Lafferty will be off limits and so will using a retention slot at this point in time. 2 will be reserved for Toews and Kane closer to the TDL if they so choose to move.
