6 x $6 for Zadina is certainly...something...

1. Wings can not take on the cap that Leaf are trading to them. It solves Leafs cap.issues and transfers them to Wings
2. Hronek is younger and is still an RFA when contract ends where as Holl is pending UFA.
3. With free agency need for Kerfoot which was minimal is now not needed at all.
4. Zadina has been below par since he became a regular, but hoping that he will turnaround with mre coaching regime

This is awful for the Leafs.

1. Zadina at 6M??
2. Nylander is one of the better contracts in the league. The Leafs are a cap tight team, moving him makes 0 sense for them. Especially to downgrade to Zadina for a small savings of... .962M

Detroit would take this in a heartbeat... this is a really bad trade for the Leafs and I question it's sincerity, as it feels like a troll for the fact that Holl and Kerfoot make zero sense in Detroit, yet ACGM's keep banging their heads against it, but for what the exchange is, it's worth Detroit taking them on for Nylander. This essentially becomes Nylander for Hronek and Zadina (who would not get 1/3 of that contract, by the way) and the other pieces are throw aways.

Regardless, this whole post is ridiculous.

That's Zadina at 6 million over 6 years or 1 million a year for 6 years
