Sharangovish is good but he's not as good as tarasenko and personally i think this team is weaker than last year. You technically have more depth i guess if you take into account nhl games played but you've replaced top scorers in tarasenko and perron with average 3rd liners and lost your backup

We're not giving Rodrigues a multi-year deal, and he's not worth it for us anyway. We need all cap on deck next summer.

As for the OP question, we are *trying* to contend every year. I don’t think we are at the point where we sell from future to add for a season. Maybe something at deadline if everything works out.
